Spellbinders launched a new Glimmer Hot Foil System several months ago. I finally decided to try it and the Glimmer Hot Foil kit of the month. Guess what? It’s easy, very elegant and I am hooked! Here is my first project and a video tutorial too!

Because I got the Glimmer Hot Foil system and the Glimmer Kit of the Month at the same time I thought monogrammed stationary was a great 1st project. The machine comes with a few hot foil plates and the April Glimmer Kit of the month is a set of alphabet hot foil plates. Of course this makes monograms a perfect first project.
If you already know how to hot foil jump right into my video. If you are brand new to this technique and system, in addition to my video, I also share a basic intro video below. Now let’s get to my fun project.
The note cards are simple white cardstock base layered with Rustic Rose cardstock. This matches the Rose Gold Foil perfectly. I accented them with pearls, Spring Kisses and die cut flowers. So shiny and beautiful!

Four note cards and envelopes fit perfectly into the Spellbinders+FSJ card carrier die. I foiled an extra panel for the front of the card carrier and added a foiled sentiment strip.

The oval frame and the rose gold foil came with the machine and the sentiment hot foil plates I got separately. All products are linked below.

Here is a basic introduction to the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System from the Spellbinders Youtube channel. It shows you how to get it out of the box, set it up and how easy it is to use and get started. You do need to use this with your die cutting machine and this video explains it and shares a few other tips too!
Seeing that this is a super fun toy, I hope you are as excited about this Foiling system and this NEW club as I am. I can’t wait for next months hot foil plates! Without a doubt this is a fun addition to my paper crafting arsenal! You can see all the Glimmer club details HERE.
