My Favorite Die Blog Hop & Giveaway

The FSJ Creative Team is blog hopping today sharing out favorite Spellbinders-FSJ die. We hope you like our favorites and maybe you will find a new favorite too! Hop along with us as we share a blog hop full of inspiration & a giveaway too!

I had a hard time picking just one of my favorite dies … so I decide to pick 2!

Shapeabilities A2 Curved Borders One

Oh how I love these and I use them all the time. These border dies are incredibly easy to use and have an awesome end result. Bonus: These curved dies are a great way to showcase the Create and Blooms designer prints paper.

Stamp with Jill, Shapeabilities Curved Border Die

For this card I used 2 of the border dies to create a curved banner that lets almost all of the printed paper show. I used my Mini Misti positioning tool to curve a regular stamp just slightly to fit the curve.

Stamp with Jill, Shapeabilities Curved Border Die

This bright, beautiful Create and Bloom Prints paper is balanced against a small curve border cut out in whip cream. To keep the paper the main focus, I just added a sentiment and a simple embellishment.

As shown below, you can also layer with these dies. I added a duplicate curved layer in black to anchor the black in the paper as well as the sentiment. This Follow Your Heart paper has a black and white pattern. Of course I needed to color it with some spring color markers to liven it up.

You know its a favorite die when I use it on multiple projects. Here are a 6 more cards that use the Shapeabilities A2 Curved Borders One for inspiration:

Fancy Edged Rectangles

Next up is the Fancy Edged Rectangles. Oh these are so fun but so far I love the medium scallop rectangle the most! For this card, I paired the Butterfly from the Large Die of the month (Feb) and a background made with Pan Pastels. A touch of Sparkle silk and the Tiny Greetings” Hello sentiment finish the card.

Seeing that this hop is all about favorite dies, I created another card to show how fun it is to layer the rectangles and use printed paper.

The Thanks is also a die cut, from the Designer Frames die set. All supplies are listed at the very end of the post.

Obviously the Fancy Edged Rectangles is a ‘must have” in your collection! Here are 6 more cards that use the Fancy Edged Rectangles for added inspiration:

4 Reasons the Spellbinders Small Die of the month club ROCKs

I am now a BIG FAN of the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month and Large Die of the Month Club Kits. – in fact so far all of the Spellbinder’s monthly kits!   If you’re looking to invest in an awesome monthly die club, this is it! I love having fun dies show up in my mailbox each month. And this month’s dies… Christmas! And this month extends way past Christmas with stuff you probably already have in your stash!

I am so excited to share with you what I made using the Spellbinders Small Die of the month. Here is my 1st creation:

spellbinders die of the month dec 2018, stampwithjill christmas card

I added the Holly from the Snapshot frames die and the berries are Nuvo drops.

The second card was created using a combination of the Small die and the designer printed paper and the Party Burst dots from the card kit:

The Sentiment is from Concord and 9th Very Merry Sentiments and the rectangle piercing was cut from the Journey rectangle die set.

For my 3rd card, I used some light blue Pan Pastels for the background and some sparkle silk and white Nuvo Drops.   How fun are these word dies!

Again the sentiment is from Concord and 9th and I just love that Frosty Snowflake (link below).

Finally, my 4th card.   I’ll have a 5th tomorrow as it warrants its own post!  This combines both the small die and the large die of the month.

Because more inspiration is always good, check out these cards on THIS POST to see a few more of the large die.

The words are MERRY, BRIGHT, CHRISTMAS, NEW, YEAR, HAPPY plus the ampersand and the deer and accessories!  LOVE!!!

Santa Christmas Treat Boxes, Stamp with Jill. Spellbinders FSJ

This box holds treats of all kinds, small gifts and GIFT CARDS!  I always love a box that can hold a gift card.  Santa has lots of elves so we needed a coordinating Elf Treat box.

Decided to flip it and get creative with an upside down Elf Christmas Treat box. Added some feet with the Christmas Magic Die set.  It coordinates with the Christmas Magic stamp set!

Christmas Puppies in the Truck!

Oh M Gee… This truck is SO MUCH FUN.  It is from the Spellbinders October “Large Die of the Month” club called Truckin’ Through the Seasons.  As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it.  (even though I waited a week to make sure I still wanted it!)

Truckin through the seasons, Stamp with Jill, Spellbinders-FSJ Large Die club

Seriously cute! I made a 2nd one in a blue truck.  Drop me a comment to let me know which truck is your favorite… RED OR BLUE?

The background on these cards was made with Panpastels.  I just rubbed the pink and the blue on with a sponge.  You can also make this same pink sky background with the gel press. Check out the step by step on this post

Enchanted Cottage Bouquet

Happy Monday Stamping Friends!  How pretty is this?  The flowers are super bright and POP right off the card!  Today’s project features the Cottage Bouquet Bundle (stamp set and dies) from Fun Stampers Journey.

You can find this stamp set on Page 18 of the new FSJ Annual catalog.  It’s part of the Good Life Collection.  I love the Designer Prints paper in this collection- you can see a few cards I made with it in this post.

This was made for a weekly Team Sketch Challenge.  If you are a handmade card maker like me, sometimes you get in a style rut.  Sketches really push you outside of your comfort zone.

I stamped the flowers on different colors of card stock and added some highlights with copic markers.  The colors are listed below in my supply list.

Take a peek at the stamp set.  There are quite a few flower designs and the sentiments are great too!

The sentiment on my card comes from a set called Inside and Out.  It is one of my all time favorite sets because it not only has all the needed sentiments for the outside of the card– but the inside as well.  I never know what to write on the inside of my cards so set this makes it super easy!

Need more card making inspiration?  I also used the Cottage Bouquet stamp set on this Picket Fence card

Time to go shopping:  All Supplies are Fun Stampers Journey unless noted.  Click the products to shop online.
