Graduation Money Holders

I purchased the Gina K owl set a few weeks ago– Aren’t they so stinking Cute?  I can’t wait for the new SU owl set!

I do not own any graduation sets so I improvised.  I found in my stash of single stamps- this tiny graduation cap and it happened to fit perfect on the owls!  Looks like I’ll have to add a set to my collection soon. Keep in mind that any stamp set or Large sentiment can be used for the front panel where the owls are.  Just choose a larger image

Last year, during the holidays I made a bunch of money holders for my Christmas card buffet.  Well,  I scored 17 of them the wrong way!  oops!  I saved them…who can throw out 17 pieces of SU card stock??? NOT ME!!!  I re-purposed them into these money holders. All 17 are old olive so I had to work with all designer papers that matched old olive.

To make these:  7 x 9 piece of card stock

score at 2 an 6.5 inches on the long side

I added the strip of paper (1 inch x 7) on all 3 versions to make the flap longer (it barely closes when plain)  I used a color that coordinates with the designer paper.

the bottom pocket is closed with small eyelets

the front panel is approx. 4×3.

Recipe:

Stamps: GinaK Owl set, short and sweet, CTMH congratulations sentiment, misc graduation cap

ink:  black, soft sky, chocolate chip, old olive

Paper:  old olive, soft sky, chocolate chip, bashful blue, pumpkin pie card stock.  Summer picnic, fall flowers designer paper

Accessories:  small eyelets, nestabilities, ribbon, prismacolor pencils and OMS, watercolor crayons and a water brush, corner rounder, sakura glitter pen
