I returned home late last night from Founder Circle! So much fun this year. This was the 2nd time I have earned this trip. I love the ladies I am getting to know better and I have so many new friendships too!
Here are a Few of my favorite shots from the first day: My new friends and my team- The Silver Spoons. what a great dinner we had together. Lots of Laughs!
On Thursday we went on a hike in the Narrows of Zion National Park. (last year I went rock repelling) There was quite a bit of rain so the water in the narrows was really high. So we split the hike into a wet part and a dry part.
Here we are getting ready
our neoprene water socks and water shoes.
Kathy, Jan and I . These women are such fabulous friends.
off in to the 50 degree water. As a result of the rain, the water was running very high, just below the point where we could not hike in it. the water at some points was chest high!! YES I did go in that deep. I had a brand new outfit for this. All quick dry/water wicking hiking clothes. right down to my “unders”
Now on to the dry part. here we go right up the rocks. there was a small trail, but not much.
through the cave, really cool the temperature difference in the rock.
When we got to the top, a most SPECTACULAR view and a picnic lunch provided by our 2 guides.
Jan took this shot of me. its great how it shows the AMAZING beauty of the rock landscape. (I look pretty good too)
Kathy and I at the look out. One steep drop for sure!
the Zion park hike was AMAZING. I really love doing these outdoor adventures. I’m sure working hard to earn this trip next year. See you tomorrow for more pics from Founders circle!
thanks for sharing this wonderful adventure while you were at Founders Circle. Zion is full of inspiration!
What a beautiful hike. I'm not sure that I would want to hike in that kind of water but boy is that view worth it! So glad that you had some fun.
