I survived Hannah & the Party

We got about 4 inches of rain this past Saturday from the last little bit of Hannah.  It was in the forecast all week- for my daughter’s birthday and pool party.  Needless to say I had to switch party gears from a simple outside pool & ice cream party to and indoor party with decorations and activities for 11 girls!  I have been totally stressed out!

This is what I have been doing for the last 4 days:  party prep!!!

75 balloons throughout the house, plus streamers

A fabulous Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Pennant banner, exclusively designed by my daughter.

So what did they do? They stamped!

Each party attendee received a pink pony webkinz as  their party favor in a plain card stock box that was fashioned from a 12×12 piece of card stock with colors selected by my daughter..  They punched a tag and a large wide oval from various pieces of scrap paper(selected by my daughter).  they stamped with tagger’s dozen on the tag, adhered them together and made a pony ribbon collar.  They wrote their name on the back so we knew who’s pony was who’s and then tied it around the pony’s neck (in a bow) with a large piece of ribbon.(also selected by my daughter)

they then decorated the box with stickers.  you can see a little bit of them here in the picture

They played pin the cherries (Tart & Tangy) on the ice cream sundae.  See the above picture of the hand drawn ice cream & dish. Sooooo last minute I was coloring as fast as I could !!!!

they made BLING bead bracelets and made ice cream sundaes with lots of toppings! They played Freeze dance and opened presents too!  It was a great day!

Recipe:  a birthday girl, a party and lots of paper crafting supplies.

What a dream party of any little girl. What a great time I'm sure they all had. May have been stressful for a while but you made a life time memory for each child there. I have (4) girls with three of them leading their own lives. How fast they do grow up. Thanks for sharing her special day with us.Kathy Brown
