Yup. I’m hooked on glimmering and these were so easy to make. These glimmer hot foil cards are clean and simple (just my style!). Once you foil a few times it is so easy! and there are tons of foil colors! Today I am focusing on the basic silver and gold with 4 new card designs to share.
First up is the the Thanks card using silver foil for the Glimmer Kit of the Month letters and the Vine. It’s black card stock for the base, then layered with silver foil card stock.

I set this up the same as the monogram cards I shared the other day (video here). Second up is the super clean and simple graduation card.

Grab you washi tape because it is so easy! So here is how I set up the letters and the sentiments so the foiling turns out perfect the 1st time.

All I did was trim the foiled cardstock panel and add some scorelines to complete the card. Third up is another Grad card.

This one had a little bit more set up. I die cut and assembled the Grad cap from the FSJ Hats off die. Then laid everything out on my card front to get the spacing exactly how I wanted it to look. (nothing is glued) after it was where I wanted it, I added the washi tape on the letters AND the sentiment strips so it became all one piece.

The washi made it super easy to flip over and place on the hot foil machine.

I did not trim my foil to be close to the size of the sentiment. That causes over foiling so I just cleaned it up with my Mono sand eraser.

The card is finished off with a completed hat die cut, some gems and gold cardstock layers. Lastly, is the Smile card.

by now you can tell I set the letter up with Washi tape. You can see that Glimmer Hot foil works on both white and colored cardstock. I accented this card with some die cut flowers from the Happy Collection Celebrate with cake dies.

THANK YOU!!! so much for showing your tip of lining up the letters with the washi tape. I have been getting frustrated because letters would shift as I transferred from glimmer machine to die cut machine. i will be trying the tape soon.
