Re-Stock Your Birthday Card Stash

I need more birthday cards! I gifted big boxes of handmade cards this holiday season so I could make room for more. The one theme I need more of is birthday cards. Check out these beauties!

I found another treasure on the Spellbinders website. The Nestabilities Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies. WOW. on Sale now for ONLY $11.99 (I love a good deal!) You can see another card using the fancy edged rectangles HERE.

Check out my video tutorial to show you how quickly you can make a pile of these to have in your stash!

This Birthday card is so striking with the black sparkle tape and the Good Life Paper. As a matter of fact, this card is my favorite of the group and the paper one of my favorite FSJ paper packs.

The real focus of this card is the scalloped rectangle. Die cut a bunch of scalloped rectangles and flowers, pick your pretty papers, grab some matching card stock and inks and you are ready to go.

This little flower and leaf die is from the December Small Die of the Month club. (I will add the link if and when it becomes available.) You can easily use and small die that you have in your stash or use the Spring Kisses flowers and leaves right out of the package. (link below)

Surprisingly the cards all look significantly different when you change the paper and the colors. This layout works best with smaller floral (or other) printed paper.

Finally, on this last card I changed the layout slightly with a larger piece of DSP, no washi tape and 1 less layer of white.

Measurements:

Card base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, White: 4 x 5-1/4, Printed paper: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8. White panel on the inside of the cards is 4 x 5-1/4

Last card measurements: Card base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, Printed paper 5-1/2 x 3. matching strip of cardstock 1/2 x 5-1/2.
