JUNIOR OLYMPICS:

Last weekend was  the Junior Olympics for my son.  How did it go you ask?  Well, Junior olympics went as well as could be expected with a 3″ hole in his elbow and bronchitis.  That was 2 Trips to Urgent care in 1 week, all the week of the meet.  He fell on the playground the day before the meet.  So fun to get the call from the school nurse– thankfully no broken bones or stitches. REALLY!!!

He had 2 OK times and 2 lifetime best times. WOOHOOOO!!! He did NOT come in last, and no where near the top 10.  He has a way to go and the best part of his weekend was the personalized sweatshirt with his name and events he qualified for !  LOL it cost me $75.  yes $75 for a Stinkin’ sweatshirt.  Hey ours was cheap though, some of the other kids on the team were over $100 as they qualified in more events!  He liked it, but he said is was really crowded.  He is excited to qualify for the summer Junior Olympics! (thank goodness its AFTER Convention, wink!).

The only day I got  a few pictures was when he swam his 400IM (4 laps of each stroke for you non-swimmers out there!)

Butterfly

backstroke

Breaststroke

Freestyle

the back of the sweatshirt

The ever so happy SWIMMER in his awesome sweatshirt!!!

Have a great day- I am back at the POOL!!!
