Sweet Baby Girl Bib Card

My co-workers wife had a baby girl at the end of June.   I have given baby thank you notes to everyone in the office who has had a baby.  Feeling a little guilty that I did not make any this time…and looking for some inspiration, over lunch I did a little blog surfing for baby cards and saw a bib card here by Debbie Olson and another one on the Papertrey blog here.

This is My SU version.  The ribbon tie is cased from Debbie’s card and the scallop edge is from the Papertrey card-modified of course!

HOW???  you ask??  super simple!  I used the Pick-a-petal brass template and a plain white card base.  I will post a tutorial this week, hopefully tomorrow. ( my very 1st one!)

I will be using this as a convention swap- PRETTY PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS as a swap if you are going to convention.  Look for me I’ll swap with you!

Supplies:

Stamps:  Wild About you, So swirly Wheel

Paper: Whisper white, pretty in pink, barely banana

Accessories:   Pick a petal brass template, ribbon, punches, corner rounder, sticky tape and a random pink button found in my embellishment stash

Berry Bliss Card candy

Here is my first set ever of “card candy” I made for a swap on my team. Card candy is a pack of embellishments used to dress up your cards. I choose the Berry Bliss with a pretty in pink and Close to cocoa combo and My Bitty Birthday Stamp set. I also added a Pink Hugs and kisses sentiment in a ribbon slider but its a little light in the photo. The pieces are attached with removable dotto so they are easily transferred to any card. The background could even be used for a card too, its whisper white rolled with the so swirly wheel. This was really fun to make!

Here is what I got as part of the swap. Sorry I can’t give credit to the individual stampers- their names were not stamped on them anywhere. If you see yours, leave me a comment and I’ll give you credit.
