Catherine’s Party

I had the pleasure of crafting with some wonderful young ladies last week to celebrate an 11th birthday!

These are the projects!  The Cupcake bag is a template I traced from a fellow Demo at a stamping retreat, so i don’t have any specs to provide.  Oh my- you should have heard the girls squeal in delight when I showed them the projects!!!

The “Things I love” is a fold out scrapbook I cased from my Demo friend Dawn.   Basically, this one was made with 3 strips of card stock 4 inch x 12 inch. You score it every 4 inches so you have 3 ‘squares’ scored on each piece. Glue them together end to end so that they form an accordion.  I put Pacific Point card stock on the front and a Melon Mambo scallop square die cut on the back. When adhering the one on the back, the ribbon is adhered under it – long enough to tie around the front. Then just decorate the inside pages and cover as you like. Most of the inside page layers were cut 3.75 x 3.75 inches.  I then trimmed the die cut strips in the Ice Cream parlor Sale-abration pack and gave them the other stickers.  and let them decorate as they wanted!  They had so much fun! and really got creative.

Enjoy!!!

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge 6 meets SMOOCH

Here is a Sneak Peek  at the New Smooch spritz Stampin Up! is offering in the new Summer Mini.  I have never used these before now all I can say– WOW they take covering chipboard to a whole new level!!

Take a closer look at the pictures– My son REALLY likes chocolate milk and he likes it really chocolate-y.  So he skipped the spoon and poured.  I’m not sure how I got this shot- I was in the kitchen just playing with the camera.  He soon realized I was taking his picture.   Hmmm,  How much chocolate is too much???

And The Shabby Tea Room inspiration:

Here is a close up of how just a few spritz sprays cover chip board.  WOW

I also sprayed it right on the card stock.  My son constantly spills the Nesquick powder on the kitchen counter so I thought that it looked similar.  Sparkle texture…LOVE IT!!

On a side note, make sure you get the New Color Catcher.  This Smooch stuff sprays all over!  The color catcher is perfect for chipboard and cards, if you are spraying your 12×12 pages you will need to have a big box or go outside.  I made a bit of a mess!

Come play with the sketch at the Shabby Tea Room

Lets go Shopping !

I ran out of those shopping lists from the $1 store with the magnets on the back. So…I made my own:

These are 1/2 of Junior legal pads. (staples can cut the for you for about $2.00)

I embellished with tiny piece of scrap.

the manets on the back are self adhesive business cards. I skipped the business card and just stuck them to the cardboard.

Convention samples- Things I love…

This year I was selected to be a Convention Display stamper. I made samples that are displayed on the boards for all the convention goers to see. They use the stamp sets that convention attendees get in their bag! I am so honored to be chosen by Stampin Up! for this amazing opportunity.

I made over 25 samples using 4 stamp sets. I will be sharing them here over the next few weeks. Convention goers should see many of them on the display boards!

off to get some of my swaps done!!!
