Which means my backyard is a huge construction pit. Regardless, they poured the cement last Thursday and now it looks like a pool, instead of a huge dirt hole created by a crater from outer space. Last Thursday evening, I was outside taking some pictures of the family standing inside the cement form, and Guess What? I left my digital camera outside… For 2 days!!!! Well it rained 4 times (maybe more) before we realized yesterday that it was there. Surprisingly, after being on the fritz for 24 hours, it has dried out and it seems to be OK. so far.
Long story short- I am back in blogging business!
I received over 150+ swaps from convention. Some are my taste, and some are not. One of the swaps I received followed this basic design, minus all the layers and extra colors. I decided to play and re-created it to be my more in line with my taste. The stamps were the Spotted wheel and the In the spotlight Hostess set. Pomegranate, wasabi and Kraft card stock plus matching inks. Pomegranate matching stitched ribbon and scallop punches. Doesn’t that Ribbon look crooked? I do not love it…but I am hoping one of you are inspired. I have so many swaps…I will try to post a few of my favorites!
BTW: I got the cutest CTMH set to celebrate the Pool. I can’t wait to ink it up! stay tuned!
So cute! Love the colors. Glad to hear your camera is working. Your lucky – my sister got splashed by the pool and it wouldn't work at all. Congrats on the pool – love to see the photos. TFS 🙂
Love the card, great looking one and simple but effective.Great news about camera and as for the pool, once it is complete I am sure that the family will spend hours in it giving you more free time to create, win-win situation for all :-)Dawn
