Oh boy!!! These new 3D embossing folders are just beautiful!!! First let’s look at the cards I made and then I will get to how to use these NEW 3D folders!
This is the Leafy 3D Embossing Folder:
I lightly watercolored the leaves to give them dimension.
Here is the Origami Folds 3D Embossing folder:
I paired the Origami Folds 3D Embossing folder with the lLarge die of the Month and the Color Block Slimline Edges Etched Dies and the very popular Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies.(a personal fav!)
Here is another card with the Origami Folds 3D Embossing folder:
This has a NEW Leafy Sprig Etched Die, a simple hot foiled sentiment in black, Sequins and Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies.
Next up is the Beautiful Blooms 3D Embossing folder:
I used white opaque ink and swiped gently over the flowers with a small dauber to give them a white washed look. So easy! That’s the We Dance Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set for the sentiment.
The best way to use these 3D folder is with the NEW Spellbinders Universal Plate System.

I just ordered my Universal Plate System. That means I created these cards before I had them. I used the base plate of my Platinum machine, the rubber mat and a few cardstock shims to make it work. Not going to lie…it was a pain and the embossed images are not quite as crisp as I would like. I can’t wait for those plates to a get here. Now I can emboss with any type folder!
