Spotlight Stamping Technique

Hi Stamping Friends!  Today we are learning the spotlight stamping technique with some simple ink blending.   This technique is an ink blended background to draw the eye to the sentiment (or stamped image) focal point.

This is so easy!  I laid down a light layer of distress ink in Mowed Lawn and then similarly applied another layer of Pine Needles distress ink color over top but closer to the edges. Finally, a few splatters of Sparkle silk created my snow.

You can see how simple this is in the video tutorial (and how I struggle with my new tweezers and new Nuvo drops).

You can blend on a teflon mat, copy or grid paper!  the mat is easy to clean and the paper can be trashed when you are done. It just depends on your preferred method of clean up.

I just LOVE the sparkle silk  It gives just the touch of sparkle with out having to get out glitter!  Check out that sparkle!

I think the spotlight stamping technique really makes the sentiment POP as the focal point of the card. Need more inspiration?  Check out the red and a green cards HERE!  You can use both the Distress inks or the Spellbinders FSJ fusion ink.  Both blend great!

Finally, here are the Products I used, click the images to shop online with me.
