The Four Seasons Tree

Check out my latest find at Spellbinders!  The Four Seasons Tree die.  I have been looking for a tree like this for quite some time.  I am also sharing this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. This is a sketch challenge blog that I just found where the design team creates a sketch for you to try, the twist is to keep your project clean-lined and fresh!  Ummm, thats right up my alley!  SO LET PLAY!

Stamp with Jill, The Four Season tree, Spellbinders

Decided to make my 1st card with the The Four Seasons Tree die winter themed and follow the Freshly made sketch.  Totally appropriate as it is freezing cold here in PA.   This is the skecth:

First, I created the background with Wilted violet, Salty Ocean and Blueprint sketch Distress inks.  They are blended together with a dauber on whip cream card stock.  The colors were really bright so I toned it down with some white pan pastel.  The pierced frame is die cut from the Journey rectangles set and the snow is made with White Nuvo drops.

Can you see the Bright days embossing folder with the burst pattern?  It is very subtble and can be seen in the 1st picture.  Finally, I added this great sentiment from the Charming tag Sentiments set. LOVE the simple font on this!! I layered these all on white to keep it super clean.

Check out the Freshly Made Sketch blog HERE.  There are so many fun and creative ideas for this sketch.
